Shipping & Fulfillment Team Member

Part-time | On-site | Bowdon, Georgia

About the Position

Flicker + Flame is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and energetic team member to join our shipping and fulfillment team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position responsible for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately, efficiently, and beautifully packaged.

The ideal candidate enjoys staying busy, working with a team, and taking pride in getting things done.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Verify products, scents, quantities, and shipping information.
• Safely package candles, home fragrance products, and other merchandise.
• Print shipping labels and prepare outgoing packages.
• Restock packing supplies and maintain an organized workspace.
• Assist with inventory organization and general warehouse tasks.
• Meet daily fulfillment goals while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure orders are completed on time.
• Assist with additional operational tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Works well independently and as part of a team.
• Previous shipping, warehouse, fulfillment, or retail experience is a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, as well as bending, lifting, carrying boxes, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the workday. Applicants should be comfortable working on their feet in an active fulfillment environment.

General Manager

About the Position

Flicker + Flame is seeking an experienced, motivated, and solutions-oriented General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our growing home fragrance and lifestyle brand.

This is a full-time, in-person leadership role ideal for someone who understands that strong operations are the foundation of a successful business. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading people, analyzing numbers, improving processes, and getting hands-on with the teams they oversee.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Process Improvement

• Oversee daily production, fulfillment, and operational workflows.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement systems that improve productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Establish clear procedures, expectations, and accountability across teams.
• Work hands-on with each department to understand workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead, manage, and develop employees across operational teams.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, team structure, and performance management.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence.

Inventory, Financial & Business Operations

• Oversee inventory management, ordering, production planning, and fulfillment.
• Review sales data, labor costs, and key performance indicators.
• Assist with budgeting, payroll oversight, and labor planning.
• Use data to make informed decisions and improve profitability.

Technology & Systems

• Oversee backend website operations and relevant business systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve technology, communication, and workflows.
• Recommend tools and solutions that support business growth.

Qualifications

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in operations management, general management, or a related leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage people, processes, and multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with numbers, data, budgets, and performance metrics.
• Ability to identify inefficiencies and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Comfortable working hands-on with teams and learning the details of different operational roles.
